Lammas Cotillion VII

Filed under General by DougRiverSpirit | 0 comments

Empress of the NashFae, Bambam Lugh Fae VI, formally announces the Nashville Radical Faeries’ seventh annual Lammas Cotillion – A Country Ho-Down, set for Saturday, August 1.

This year we celebrate the maiden harvest and death and rebirth of John Barleycorn

We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate the bounty of our Mother Earth and John Barleycorn with all our Faerie and Faerie-friendly friends and neighbors and of course, crown our new Empress!

Bring a friend, sit and jaw for a spell, eat some vittles, take a dip in the (vinyl lined) cement pond, and kick up your heels to the tune spinnings of Middle Fae Buffington and Buttercup!

If you’re looking for a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), one that is working towards being certified as “Organic”, and one that is run by Short Mountain faeries, look no further!

Little Short Mountain Farm CSA now has a working website. Further information will be added as the springtime moves on, but if you’d like to become a member of the CSA, or even just be notified when fresh veggies are available, hop on over to LittleShortMountainFarm.com and sign up!

Hello everyone! If you can see this from your email inbox, then that means the website is now sending an email to the nashfae list anytime someone blogs something on the site or adds an event to the calendar. Hope this helps to make the systems work even better for everyone!

Calendar on Nashfae

Filed under General by Gecko | 1 comment

The discussion at Coffee Klutch this morning regarding use of the calendar is a wonderful idea and something I think would be very helpful for planning.  I’ve poked around this afternoon but can’t find a way to edit calendar entries.  The instructions will be appreciated, though I don’t think that everyone may have sufficient rights to post calendar entries…I don’t see anything that looks like it.

Lammas Update!

Filed under General by Kazy Roo | 0 comments

Yes, so long in the making, but here’s the skinny. Lammas V will be taking place on Saturday, August 4th starting at 4pm. It will be held at 3303 Belmont Boulevard, which is located in the Hillsboro area. Click THIS LINK for a map of the location.

We currently have 4 musical guests lined up! We will have Singer/Songwriter Freddy Freeman, Folk Singer Matthew Temple, Violinist Joshua Lloyd and DJ Carey James providing music throughout the party.

The theme, of course, is Daydream Masquerade, so we request that you bring a fun mask along with all of your glorious faerie splendor. Also, suggested colors for the party are to invoke the sun itself: Whites, Golds, Fire Reds and Rich Yellows. ALSO, our location this year has a great pool, so don’t forget to bring your swimsuit!

We will be having a lovely ritual near sunset AND don’t miss the coronation of the Sixth Empress of the Nashville Radical Faeries!!

Tasty breads and delicious dips and jams will be available for snacking throughout the party. However, we do ask that if you are looking for something special to drink that you BYOB. A selection of wines and juices will be available for quenching thirsts as well.
